DIY sensory foam for toddlers - Dans le sac x TUC

Posted by Laurie Barrette on

Sensory activities are always a hit here. They are beneficial for the child's development in addition to being really fun for children.

But let's be honest, we don't always have the time or the motivation to create themed sensory bins like we see on social media.

We therefore offer you a very simple sensory foam to make with bubble bath. It’s fast, natural, safe and effective!

The children have fun while the parents can enjoy a few moments of peace and quiet. Everybody wins!

You will need:

  • ¼ cup The Unscented Company bubble bath
  • ½ cup of water*

Place the two ingredients in a large bowl and mix for a few minutes at high speed using an electric mixer.

*To obtain a denser foam, add less water for a ratio of 1 to 1.

A firm foam will form, this is when you know that the foam is ready.

Then transfer the foam into a tray in which we add toys so that little ones can have fun discovering them.

You can create many variations with this game. Add coloring, glitter, sponges to wash the toys, create themes with the toys and colors according to the seasons, etc. or just keep it simple and let them have fun with the foam.

Also, you can reuse the bath mixture at the end of the activity. Simply mix the water for a few moments with the mixer to form a nice foam.

Perfect for rainy days when you're running out of activity ideas!

Have fun !
