Gift ideas made in Quebec

Posted by Laurie Barrette on

We had fun concocting a list of gift ideas for Quebec products since we saw more than ever the importance of investing in our talents between now and this year. Of course, we very often favor second-hand purchases, homemade gifts or experiences, but for those who wouldn't find their account with this, here are some original gift ideas from here.

Let's start with non-material gifts, since we don't know about you, but for us, these are the presents that we prefer to receive and offer.

A one-year access card to the SÉPAQ network

Space for Life tickets . Whether it's strolling through one of the Botanical Garden's greenhouses or learning more about space at the Planetarium, it's a change from everyday life and it feels good!

A facial at the Beauties Lab . It's on our wishlist. A tailor-made facial treatment with eco-friendly products, pure happiness!

A night to get away from it all. A few years ago I spent two nights in a Zoobox and I loved it! We also tested Huttopia a few times, which we really like. Omega Park also offers the experience of sleeping in a cabin with a view of the wolves (again on our wishlist). Several places now offer unique experiences (yurt, tree house, in a bubble, etc.).

A gift card in a restaurant. It helps restaurant owners who are in dire need of love these days and it gives a break from cooking, which is greatly appreciated at all times!

In the same vein, homemade frozen meals. A greatly underrated gift if you ask us, but one that saves lives (no exaggeration here) when you're wondering what to eat for supper, when you're in a hurry or when you just don't feel like to cook.

A subscription to exclusive content from Infuse Magazine . Inspirational podcasts, blog articles, videos, in short, full of content that feels good.

A sewing class at Espace Fabrik . The workshop founded by Camélia from La Fabrik Éco offers sewing classes (online lately) to learn how to carry out all your projects from the simplest to the craziest! A very nice gift to become more self-sufficient!

Books, magazines, subscription

A subscription to Beside magazine . A magazine for lovers of nature, the outdoors and sustainable development.

Growers & Co magazine . Very nice magazine on organic farming with portraits of inspiring people.

Our Minimal book . A must-have for anyone interested in cutting back, slowing down on a daily basis, and experimenting with easy-to-make DIY recipes.

Dinette Magazine . Incredible photos, varied articles and such kind entrepreneurs! They also have posters on their shop which are gorgeous!

Bath flakes with sea salt from the Diligences soap factory. A bath is already a luxury so why not take advantage of it to make it even more relaxing?

The Weeds starter set with the raw materials to make a host of homemade products. You can make DIY from our blog articles or a host of other recipes from the magnificent book of Trappeuses .

A tangerine bath milk and a Neroli de Mélia body butter made with Anicet honey. The smell is divine! We have already told you about it here . We love this body butter.

A non-toxic nail polish from BKIND . We admit it, we very rarely get a manicure, but the holidays are festive!

Essential oils from Hunzaroma . To diffuse, make your own cosmetics or naturally treat minor ailments.

Oneka beard oil for men with the exceptional smell of Cedar and Sage.

A mascara from Zorah Biocosmetics . Our favourite!

For the House

The ecological household set . We all do housework! Might as well do it with beautiful and durable objects to make it more interesting!

Anything from Atelier Trema. Everything is so beautiful! We lovetheir dishes . Handmade pieces in Estrie.

The wooden spatula of the Wolf . We love to cook with wooden utensils. It's eco-friendly and won't scratch pans.

An essential oil diffuser from Zayat Aroma . We've both had one for a few years. They are as beautiful as they are effective.

T.Lees Holiday Mood Candles . Scented non-GMO soy candles to get you in the holiday mood.

Seeds for the garden. We are already planning our vegetable garden for next summer! The urban nutritionist offers booklets of ancestral seeds . We had also planted those of the vie-la-joie garden which gave us good harvests last year.

Storage bags made from organic cotton/hemp fabric scraps for anything you want or for bulk shopping.

This gorgeous ring from Cinderella Garbage . Jewelry made from vitrified waste. You won't find more eco-friendly jewelry than this!

These pretty everyday wear earrings from Maksym.

You can of course go to the SAQ, but several businesses here offer a fine selection of carefully chosen Quebec wines. This is the case of La Boite à vin .

Loop Gin made with potato scraps.

Lauma creation soft and comfortable underwear . Made of organic fiber and dyed with natural dyes.

Basics made in Quebec from C'est beau. We all need a white t-shirt that goes with everything.

A beautifullinen bag . To carry your groceries or as an everyday bag. It is beautiful, big and so practical!

An Audvik coat . We know, it's a big luxury! But we love them, they are warm, eco-friendly and so beautiful! And then, we don't replace it every year!

Warm wool insoles to put in winter boots. Perfect for warming boots and playing outside longer!

These are of course only suggestions! If you prefer to give handmade gifts, we also have suggestions right here . The most important thing is to have a good time with those you love!

Happy Holidays!
